Art Space Investment Process:
Calgary Arts Development has launched a a new process for groups and individuals wishing to secure city land or funding for capital projects that create new arts space.
Granting:
Calgary Arts Development operates a Special Project Grant and an Operating Grant program.
Granting Renewal:
Calgary Arts Development’s goal is to create a renewed best-in-class granting program that is responsive to and supported by Calgary’s arts sector and the community. We are excited to be embarking on a 19 month granting program renewal process and hope that you will join us to create granting programs that:- Serve arts organizations and artists
- Respond to the needs of organizations and artists
- Invest in the growth and stability of organizations and artists
Please note: We are now in a multi-year granting cycle for operating grants. No new applicants will be eligible for the operating program until 2009. However, new applicants may apply for a Special Project Grants in 2008.

Calgary Arts Development is responsible for the allocation of municipal arts funding from the City of Calgary through grant programs to support operating costs and special projects for arts organizations in Calgary. Formerly these programs were offered by the Calgary Region Arts Foundation (CRAF), which merged with Calgary Arts Development on October 31, 2006, and has since dissolved.
