Untitled Art Society provides two regular exhibition venues for local artists to present works of visual art to the Calgary public throughout the year. Our submission deadline for exhibit programming in these spaces occurs approximately twice a year.
DEADLINE: September 17th, 2010, 4:00 PM (Late or incomplete submissions will NOT be reviewed).
About our Main Gallery
Untitled Art Society uses the common area of its studio space (on the fourth floor of 319 10 Avenue SW Calgary) for juried Main Gallery exhibits throughout the year, interspersed with non-juried Barewalls exhibits and events. These Main Gallery exhibitions run for 2-3 weeks, and can be viewed during their opening receptions, on Fridays from 12-4 p.m., or by appointment with either the Gallery Coordinator or the exhibiting artist(s). Please see the website for gallery plan.
About the EPCOR CENTRE +15 Project Window
The Plus 15 pedestrian network is a system of above-ground walkways connecting commercial and public buildings in Calgary's downtown core. A series of display windows in the +15 walkway in the EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts (at 205 8 Avenue SW) are used as exhibition spaces by local artist-run organizations. The Marion Nicoll Gallery , The New Gallery , TRUCK Contemporary Art in Calgary , Stride Gallery , and the Untitled Art Society presently program the spaces.
Our window space is approximately 4 meters wide by 1.5 meters deep by 2 meters tall. Its exhibitions are in place for a period of two months, and are viewable to the general public during the EPCOR CENTRE's regular building hours. Note: While the EPCOR CENTRE does not censor exhibits in this display, it asks that exhibitors be sensitive to the fact that the Plus 15 is a public street open to all ages, and that viewers may experience the work without having made the choice to participate, as they would upon entering a gallery.
