Jump - Fly - Connect - PROJECT: A Performance Research & Creation Workshop
- Posted by Jenn Doan on January 21st, 2012
This research to presentation class is for all creative spirits.
Are you an actor or a dancer? Are you a singer or an athlete? Most importantly, do you like to play?
If so, this class is for you. Through “playtime” research we will locate an individual’s authentic movement. We will take time to examine the emotions present while in this state of play and will develop work from this point. Movement discovery has the ability to trigger new creative output from the core self and feed our methods of creative process.
Here comes the fun part... Within these three hours we will use these methods to create a body of work which will be performed to an invited public at the closing of the workshop! You will have the chance to discover your own point of expression via movement and create as both an individual and within a group. Invite your friends to participate in the flesh! It is your chance to make new self discoveries through movement, to be vulnerable in front of peers and strangers, and to share these experiences to an invited audience of friends - old and new! It will be intense, it will be fun....it will be for you!
