Sponsorship Coordinator - Calgary International Film Festival 2010

Job Title: Sponsorship Coordinator (contract)

Reports To: Sponsorship Manager and Executive Director

Objective: The Sponsorship Coordinator will be responsible for providing overall administrative support and assist with the delivery and execution of CIFF’s sponsorship program. This position will focus primarily on sponsor relationship management and stewardship of sponsor benefits. The ideal candidate is a highly organized individual with a keen interest in gaining hands-on experience in sponsorship, a strong background in customer-service, and the ability to multitask.

Contract position duration: August 16, 2010 – October 15, 2010 (2 month contract).

Salary: $2,500/month

Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
• Provide support to manage sponsorships and partnerships with the 2010 Festival which will include: sponsor communications, research, creation of proposals and contracts, administration of department databases, and sponsor fulfillment and benefits distribution.
• Coordination and execution of sponsor-related deliverables (signage, sponsor samples, collateral etc.).
• Assist Sponsorship Manager during Festival execution, including on-site coordination.
• Performing general administrative duties, such as photocopying, preparing mailings, filing, and coordinating courier pick-up/delivery.
• Support executive director in other activities as required.

Required experience and skills:
• Post-secondary education with a focus on sponsorship, marketing, communications, or event management.
• Effective interpersonal and communications skills, written and verbal.
• Aptitude for working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
• Strong organizations skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with event coordination/execution and working will volunteers considered an asset.
• Adaptable to a flexible work schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
