Celebrate Culture Month with over 150 events this week

Calgary is celebrating Culture Month with over 150 arts and culture events happening around the city this week.
From the Rosza Awards, the Mayor’s Evening for Business and the Arts and Alberta Arts Days, to Calgary ArtWalk, the East Side Studio Crawl, live music and the launch of the fall theatre season, there are so many ways to experience Calgary’s arts and culture scene.
Event information can be found on CalgaryCulture.com, a new, one-stop source for arts and culture in Calgary. With a comprehensive events calendar, listings may be viewed by date, type, family friendly, LiveRush or free events. Visitors to the site can also sign up for a newsletter that offers weekly highlights of upcoming events.

Alberta Arts Days is a three-day celebration of Alberta's arts and culture. Communities across Alberta will be humming with creative energy. From classrooms to concert halls, from libraries to choir lofts and sidewalks to studios, Albertans everywhere will bring the very spirit of Alberta to life.
Mayor’s Evening for Business and the Arts
September 21, 5pm, Max Bell Theatre, EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts
Mayor Dave Bronconnier gives a shout-out to the arts, artists and partnerships between business and the arts at the annual Mayor’s Evening presented by Enbridge.

Artcity Festival is Calgary's annual celebration of visual art, architecture, and design. For 10 days each year, new artworks, installations, and projects are temporarily inserted into the urban landscape for discovery and engagement by ordinary citizens and interested parties.

Artwalk is an opportunity for the general public to visit Calgary galleries and artist studios to discover the quality and variety of artists' work available in Calgary. Come out and meet artists and watch creativity happen before your eyes.

The 6th Annual East Side Studio Crawl takes place in the Ramsey district of Calgary. Meet and talk to 165 artists in their studios at 7 different venues at this free event.
City of Calgary Public Art Program Artist Panel – The Impact of Public Art on a Community

Artists Sans Facon (UK), Lorna Jordan (USA), Stuart Keeler (USA) and Paul Slipper (CAN) will be discussing “What impact can/does public art have on a community?”
Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra: Bach's Brandenburg #5
