The EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts is a not for profit charitable organization that welcomes over 400,000 Calgarians annually into our facility. The mission of the EPCOR CENTRE is to ignite imagination, provide the public with cultural experiences that exceed expectations, assist artists in realizing their visions and to enable the artistic expression of all citizens. We are seeking an enthusiastic and inclusive team player to fill the full-time position of Development Associate. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Development, the Development Associate’s general duties include (but are not limited to):

- Execution of sponsor stewardship activities, including administration of benefits, newsletter writing and preparation of final program reports
- Management of fundraising database and donation thanks
- Management of Volunteer Program
- Coordination of annual direct mail individual fundraising campaign
- Coordination of special events, including fundraiser and donor appreciation evening
- Execution of prospect research for individual, corporate and foundation donors
- Provision of administrative assistance to Director, Resource Development team and Board Fundraising Committee
- Reception relief

The Development Associate is part of a team that generates financial, in-kind and volunteer resources for EPCOR CENTRE’s arts learning, music programming, community engagement and facility needs.

Applicants should ideally have completed studies in not-for-profit management and/or have fundraising experience as a professional or volunteer. The successful candidate will have an interest in the arts and strong interpersonal skills and initiative with highly developed organizational skills and an ability to pay attention to detail.

This position has a 40-hour work week with infrequent evening and weekend work. A competitive compensation package, including extended health benefits, is offered.
