Free Zen media release

In 2003 Shaun Friesen
received his BFA with distinction at the Alberta College of Art and Design in
the Media Arts and Digital Technologies program, and he has
been honing his skills as a digital ninja ever since. Shaun launched his
company Free Zen Design in 2005, blending both his art and business practice. After
a deep winter hibernation in 2007 many Free Zen projects are blooming with the

Anybody interested in electronic music or the history of music production in general should check out a documentary called “Moog”. A Calgary-influenced CD shelf

This weekend, I finally got around to organising my CD collection. I'm hardly a connoisseur; my iTunes list adds up to a meager 2.4 days. I'm heavily embedded into the local theatre and literary scenes, but local music has only recently blipped on my radar, so I was quite surprised to discover that a good chunk of my collection is homegrown. I was further surprised - though I shouldn't have been - to discover the extent to which my theatre/literary life has influenced my CD library!  read more »
