Madness Indeed

For a Shear Madness virgin, last night’s opening night performance really uncovered a mystery. The mystery of mystery theatre has never been clearer to me then after watching the sold out audience shout out clues and provide prompts for the totally high- energy cast of Shear Madness. As soon as I left the theatre I wanted to go right back in and see the show again to catch all of the details that my virgin mystery watching mind was not even aware I should be watching for. Saturday Night I was one of about 10 Calgarians who all showed our exceptionally good taste in theatre by taking in the latest from Ghost River and Shadow Theatre production of an original play by Doug Curtis, While My Mother Lay Dreaming. Great performances from Karen Johnson-Diamond, Rick Duthie, Lynley Hall, Kevin Rothery, Richard Meen, Dan Perry and Frank Zotter. Anyone else seen this???? Such a great journey back to teen-aged early '80's Calgary.  read more »
