A View of Calgary's Arts Organizations

Calgary Arts Development this week released a snapshot of data collected from over 160 arts organizations in Calgary. The stories behind the data show an increasingly strong and vibrant arts sector whose benefits can be seen throughout the city.
Based on information provided in CADA's 2009 Operating Grant Program cycle, the data shows how dollars invested in arts organizations translate into multiple and diverse opportunities for citizens to actively engage as participants, audience members, volunteers, employees and artists within their communities and the city at large. The data shows conclusively that by investing in arts organizations, citizens are contributing to the city's economic and social well-being and its overall vibrancy.

Calgary Arts Development is pleased to release its 2009 Report to the Community.
Titled Lead with Culture, the report outlines the organization's key achievements and activities in 2009. The report also provides details on Calgary Arts Development’s strategy and vision, granting programs, arts space programs, awareness programs, and profiles for each of the organizations supported by Calgary Arts Development in 2009.

2007 Report to Community

Our 2007 Report to Community, titled 'Engaging Community. Engaging Art' is now available.
This report outlines our activities over the 2007 calendar year, including work to renew Calgary Arts Development's granting programs and strengthen our investment in the community, progress to date on initiatives like the Arts Spaces Strategy, our web projects, community collaborations and more.
We're pleased to report on a busy and exciting year and would like to thank all the people who made it possible, including our Board, staff and volunteers, the City of Calgary, our many partners and collaborators and most importantly, the engaged and amazing community of artists and arts organizations we serve.
